Rigorous measurement of how projects, organizations, industries, and public investments affect jobs, GDP, labor income, output, and state and local tax revenues across regional economies.
Economic and fiscal impact studies measure how a project, organization, or investment generates economic activity throughout a regional economy. Using established input-output frameworks — including RIMS II and other regional modeling tools — we trace the direct, indirect, and induced effects of economic activity to produce a complete picture of economic contribution.
The analysis goes beyond headline job numbers. We estimate labor income, GDP, total output, and the fiscal returns to state and local governments — including income taxes, sales taxes, property taxes, and other public revenues generated by the activity.
We also identify who benefits and where — breaking down impacts by county, metropolitan area, and state, and distinguishing between construction-phase and ongoing operations impacts where relevant.
Every study is designed to be defensible and communication-ready — structured for use in legislative testimony, grant applications, board presentations, press releases, and public reporting.

Economic and fiscal impact studies are most valuable when an organization needs to demonstrate its contribution to the regional economy — to policymakers, funders, boards, or the public.
Economic development agencies and chambers of commerce seeking to document the value of a project or industry to the region
Nonprofits and foundations communicating the economic return on community investment
Real estate developers and project sponsors supporting incentive applications or public approvals
Public housing authorities demonstrating the broader economic contribution of housing programs
Universities and cultural institutions quantifying their regional economic footprint
Industry associations presenting the economic case for policy support or tax treatment
